How to: Block a website

So you want to block a website at your computer or some network, though there are a lot of softwares available for that but yet there's a small windows tweak to do that. To block a website follow the below given steps

You must Login as administrator

1. Go to Start> Run
2. Type notepad C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts
3. Go to line 127.0.0.1 localhost
Now half the task is over
4. Now if you want to block the site say www.vickydailylife.blogspot.com then replace the line 127.0.0.1  localhost with 127.0.0.1  www.vickydailylife.blogspot.com.

5. Now save the file

6.The vickydailylife.blogspot.com is blocked on your computer.

7. now go to start> run and type ipconfig /flushdns

8. Thats it!
